Royce White sits down with VladTV to revisit his turbulent freshman year at the University of Minnesota under coach Tubby Smith. The former top Minnesota basketball recruit explains why he stayed home despite offers from Kansas, Texas and other major programs, and reflects on the Mall of America petty theft case that led to his suspension.

White also details a separate campus laptop investigation, his no-contest plea context, and why he says University of Minnesota police later charged him with trespassing instead of theft. In a previously untold account, he discusses how tensions around Minneapolis and St. Paul friends visiting campus contributed to scrutiny from the athletic department. White addresses being blamed after a college football player was stabbed, saying the incident shaped his decision to transfer to Iowa State and influenced his later political views. A candid look at NCAA basketball, campus policing, race, reputation and accountability.
