WWII Past-Life Recollection with Benjamin Carraud

Benjamin Carraud is author of Goodbye, Fields of Prokhorovka: Past-Life Memories of a Waffen-SS Officer.

Benjamin shares his spontaneous, vivid past-life memories of serving as a Waffen-SS officer on the Eastern Front during World War II, including intense combat flashbacks and the moment of his death in a tank near Prokhorovka. He describes the personal crisis these unbidden recollections caused, his efforts to research and verify historical details that matched the life of Eugen Kunstmann, and his eventual contact with the officer’s surviving family. Carraud explores the emotional weight of carrying such memories, questions of continuity of consciousness, identity, guilt, and forgiveness without glorifying the regime or its crimes.
