Charles V. Tramont, MD, (1937 – 2101), was a surgeon, obstetrician, and gynecologist. He currently practices hypnotherapy. He was author of From Birth to Rebirth: Gnostic Healing for the 21st Century and What’s Missing in Medicine: Unleashing the Healing Power of the Subconscious Mind.
In this video from 2017, he describes his journey from a conventional medical professional to a practitioner of gnostic healing arts. As a military flight surgeon, he experienced several close brushes with death. Later, in the context of training in hypnotic regression, he began to encounter situations entailing reincarnation. This led to encounters with spirit guides and also spiritual dark forces. Prior to his passing, Dr. Tramont considered himself an exorcist. His message is: “You must never show fear.”

Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in “parapsychology” ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). He is also the Grand Prize winner of the 2021 Bigelow Institute essay competition regarding the best evidence for survival of human consciousness after permanent bodily death.
