Charles V. Tramont, MD, is a retired surgeon, obstetrician, and gynecologist. He currently practices hypnotherapy. He is author of From Birth to Rebirth: Gnostic Healing for the 21st Century and What’s Missing in Medicine: Unleashing the Healing Power of the Subconscious Mind.
Here he continues to describe his work as a hypnotherapist, within a shamanistic/gnostic framework. He goes into some detail regarding dark forces, earthbound spirits, extra-terrestrials, soul fragments, and past-lives. He describes how he works with the guiding spirits, or higher consciousness, of each patient. He points out that his transition from conventional medicine to metaphysics was based on therapeutic successes.

He has served as vice-president of the Association for Humanistic Psychology, and is the recipient of its Pathfinder Award for outstanding contributions to the field of human consciousness. He is also past-president of the non-profit Intuition Network, an organization dedicated to creating a world in which all people are encouraged to cultivate and apply their inner, intuitive abilities.
