Dr. Bernard Beitman, MD, is former Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is author of many books, including Connecting with Coincidence: The New Science of Using Synchronicity and Serendipity in Your Life and Meaningful Coincidences: How and Why Synchronicity and Serendipity Happen. His newest book is Life-Changing Synchronicities: A Doctor’s Journey of Synchronicity and Serendipity. His website is coincider.com.
Here Beitman and Mishlove share personal stories of synchronicities they have experienced. They reflect on the different types of meaningful coincidences and the patterns that exist among them. Beitman urges the viewers to make a study of synchronicities and serendipities in their own lives. He offers suggestions as to how this can be done successfully.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in “parapsychology” ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). He is also the Grand Prize winner of the 2021 Bigelow Institute essay competition regarding the best evidence for survival of human consciousness after permanent bodily death. He is Co-Director of Parapsychology Education at the California Institute for Human Science.
