Jeffery Martin, PhD, is President of the California Institute for Human Science. He holds graduate degrees in information technology, management, and transformative studies and has co-edited, authored, or co-authored over 20 books and numerous other publications; appeared in a wide variety of electronic media; and lectured widely in both academic and public forums. Portions of his research on power of thought and non-symbolic consciousness are also available in the popular fiction book, The Fourth Awakening.
In this interview, rebooted from 2017, he describes four different “locations” within the spiritual realm that he defines as “non-symbolic consciousness”. He prefers the term location, even though these locations often occur in a sequence, because he does not wish to describe them as a hierarchy. In each case, individuals experiencing these states are less preoccupied with themselves; and also experience a greater sense of well-being. He, personally, finds “location two” the most conducive for a person such as himself who is actively engaged in running an organization.
New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in “parapsychology” ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). He is also the Grand Prize winner of the 2021 Bigelow Institute essay competition regarding the best evidence for survival of human consciousness after permanent bodily death. He is Co-Director of Parapsychology Education at the California Institute for Human Science.
