Apports and Other Anomalous Phenomena with Keith Thompson

Keith Thompson is author of Angels and Aliens: UFOs and the Mythic Imagination, The UFO Paradox: The Celestial and Symbolic World of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, and most recently Anomalous Phenomena: Apports and the Mystery of Objects that Materialize and Translocate.

Keith explores apports, which are objects that materialize and translocate, from the remarkable Scole Experiment in England, where coins, a 1944 newspaper, and developed film appeared under controlled conditions supervised by the Society for Psychical Research. He connects these events to near-death experiences, ancestral visions of a three-year-old boy, Navajo Rangers investigating Bigfoot and Skinwalker phenomena, stigmata, the placebo effect, and UFO materializations, arguing that mind and matter dance on a spectrum rather than remaining permanently divided. Drawing on radical empiricism, Thompson presents these anomalous phenomena as invitations to update our maps of reality rather than dismiss what challenges conventional theories.
