Is the Sermon on the Mount the Most Important Part of the Bible?

This is the first of ten in-depth conversations about the Sermon on the Mount between me and my super-smart friend Aron. The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) is a spectacular chunk of Bible that gives us a long look at who Jesus is and what he’s about. It’s surprising and subversive; undercutting religious assumption 2,000 years ago and still today.

This series of videos (released every few days over the next three weeks) happened literally because of the Ten Minute Bible Hour patrons who support the program at patreon.com/tmbh. Patreon is an Internet goodwill engine where individuals can get behind the content they care about in a way that matters, and allow their favorite content creators to make more and better stuff.

Thanks to all the patrons, and particularly to top TMBH patrons: JR, Frank Phillips, Sarah Sims, Jake Purvis, Paul Vermeulen, Tyler Reed, Damon Easley, and Christian Grover! And also thanks to long-time supporters Kayla Bovard, Conor Goldberg, Bret Clark, 610Garage, Luke Israelson, Brian Fleming, and Danielle Mutzelburg.
