In this VladTV interview, Lil Jungle Boy details his turbulent childhood from South Central Los Angeles to foster care in Louisiana and Chicago. Born at Martin Luther King Hospital in L.A., he says his mother’s drug addiction led to him being placed in the system, while questions around his biological father left him disconnected from family early on. He recalls being exposed to the streets as a child in New Orleans, where he says adults used young kids as runners during the crack era. The conversation also touches on Freeway Ricky Ross and Wack100’s debate over so-called “crack babies.” Lil Jungle Boy later returned to Los Angeles, reconnected with relatives, and moved into the Jungles, a Blood neighborhood, where he says he was put on around age 10 or 11 despite his stepfather’s objections. A raw look at foster care, gang culture, survival, and South Central history.
