Near-Death Reflections with Elizabeth Krohn

Elizabeth Krohn is first author (with Professor Jeffrey Kripal) of Changed in a Flash: One Woman’s Near-Death Experience and Why a Scholar Thinks It Empowers Us All.

Here she reflects back on implications of her near-death experience that occurred when she was struck by lightning in 1988. Since then, she has experienced a telephone call from her deceased grandfather – and also many accurate, but unpleasant, precognitive dreams – typically involving disasters. She maintains that our conventional notion of clock time is an incomplete picture. The science fiction movie, Arrival, portrays a deeper understanding of time. One can think of all time as existing in the “now” moment.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in “parapsychology” ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). He is also the Grand Prize winner of the 2021 Bigelow Institute essay competition regarding the best evidence for survival of human consciousness after permanent bodily death.
