Neckbone, Involved in 2Pac’s MGM Fight & Death Row Enforcer, Tells His Life Story (Flashback)

In this flashback, we revisit Neckbone, a longtime member of Mob Piru, as he sits down with VladTV to share a firsthand account of his life in Compton, the evolution of gang dynamics, and his close involvement with Death Row Records during one of its most volatile eras.

Neckbone reflects on growing up in Southern California, the shifting dynamics of street politics, and how he became part of Death Row’s inner circle and security operation. He recounts his personal interactions with Tupac Shakur, Suge Knight, and other key figures while providing his perspective on the infamous fight at the MGM Grand that preceded Tupac’s murder.

Neckbone also discusses the escalating tensions between Mob Piru and the South Side Crips, as well as his account of how those rivalries became connected to the tragic Las Vegas shooting involving Orlando Anderson. He opens up about Tupac’s personality, his refusal to wear a bulletproof vest despite warnings, and the chaotic aftermath of the shooting near Club 662.

Throughout the interview, Neckbone speaks candidly about his own criminal history, multiple arrests, time spent in prison, and the lasting consequences of the violence surrounding that era. He also reflects on the ripple effects of Tupac’s death, including retaliation, internal fallout, and the subsequent deaths of several figures connected to the conflict.

This interview offers a rare street-level perspective on one of hip-hop’s most discussed tragedies while exploring the broader themes of gang violence, loyalty, loss, and the lasting impact of Tupac Shakur’s death.
