David Bohler was an upstanding officer that believes in the oath he took to protect and serve. His world came crashing down after doing the right thing, which implicated high ranking law enforcement officers and exposed their corruption. Although not “forced” to retire he ultimately did so and is now pursuing a civil suit against the department. Just as not all citizens are bad, not all cops are bad either. There are a few that make headlines and paint a bad image of the rest and while it is easy to fix in “theory”, actually following through can be very dangerous without others on your side.
