Consciousness, Conspiracy, and Coincidence with Robert Anton Wilson (1932 – 2007)

This video is a special release from the original Thinking Allowed series that ran on public television from 1986 until 2002. It was recorded in about 1996.

The deep structure of reality is related to both linguistics and to synchronicity. In Part One of this two-part program, Robert Anton Wilson speaks with characteristic humor of his involvement in the Discordian Society which honors the two great cosmic forces of order and chaos. He also makes observations about such religious movements as the Church of the Subgenius, and the Church of Fred Mertz Boddhisatva.

Robert Anton Wilson is a humorist, novelist, guerilla ontologist and futurist psychologist. He is author of twenty-six books including the classic Illuminatus trilogy, the Schrödinger’s Cat trilogy, The Cosmic Trigger, Coincidance, Prometheus Rising, Ishtar Rising, Masks of the Illuminati, Wilhelm Reich in Hell, Quantum Psychology and Reality is What You Can Get Away With.
